About Us – The Jehle Family
Rooted in Ischgl for generations. From a simple farmhouse to modern apartments – our family's story is inseparable from this house.
A House with History
Our house was originally a simple farmhouse – a home of the Aloys Karl family, deeply rooted in Ischgl. It sits right in the village centre and is one of the oldest houses in the village. It once bore house number 14 – a small detail that still recalls the long history of our house.
The former owner Maria Jehle (née Aloys) lived here with her husband Karl Jehle and their two sons Serafin and Erich. Even then, the house was a place of togetherness – shaped by family, solidarity and down-to-earth values.
From Farmhouse to Hotel Garni
With the next generation came a new chapter: Erich Jehle took over the house and developed it into a Hotel Garni. This was also when the name was born that has accompanied guests for many years: "Angelika" – named after his wife Angelika Jehle (née Zangerl "Wippas").
Their three sons – Karl, Walter and Helmut – grew up here and have remained closely connected to the house.
Lovingly Continued
In 1995, the youngest son Helmut took over the house together with his wife Daniela (née Kurz). With great dedication and fresh ideas, the hotel was renewed and successfully run as Hotel Garni Angelika for many years.
Together with their children Michael and Madeleine, they continue to run the house as a family business to this day.
A New Chapter: Angelika Apartments
In 2026, Helmut and Daniela, together with their two children Michael and Madeleine, converted the former Hotel Garni into the Angelika Apartments. In the near future, the house will be carried forward by the next generation.
Madeleine is gradually taking over the management and bringing new ideas to the development of the house.
